Bloggers can join discussion groups that are concentrated on certain topics such as: education, entertainment, politics, etc. It is fast and easy to get daily news and learn about upcoming events on a national and local level. Blogging is also a great way to communicate with others - also a unique way to meet new people. Everyone has the opportunity to comment on other's writing and share how they feel about a topic. Myspace is the most used form of online public writing today! It is easy to see why; Myspace provides as many benefits. For this free site, Myspace makes it effortless for users. However, you must be 14 or older to create an account. This website is also very easy to operate. After you create an annount all you have to do is login using your email and whatever password you come up with:

After you login a screen will pop up where you can check your messages or friend requests from a message box that looks like this:

Myspace also gives you the opportunity to personalize your profile with different backgrounds and fonts to make it your very own unique site for others to view:

Some of Myspace's benefits include: staying in touch with old friends, meeting new people, your personal web page, uploadable videos and music, advertising or promoting buisnesses. Most memembers usually use Myspace to chat with friends; it's become the new "teen hang out" on the internet as opposed to going to the movies or shopping. Myspace allows users to post pictures, bulletins, music, and information to help gain as many potential friends as possible.

Myspace has grown tremendously from all of the musicians and film producers who promote their work. Musicians mainly use Myspace to upload some of their music from their newly released c.d s to give people a good "taste" of what to expect. They also post touring dates, useful information, and band pictures to try to gain as many fans as possible. T.V. shows and motion pictures also use Myspace to achieve this.

Facebook

Create your Profile now: Facebook

Facebook is a social service that helps people to better understand the world around them. Facebook develops technologies that aid in the spread of information through social networks allowing people to share information online in the same way they would do in the real world. Facebook is made up of many different networks - companies or regions, individual schools- each of which are separate and closed off to non-affiliated users.

To join Facebook, people have to authenticate into a work or school network, or they can join a regional network. They can then create personal profiles to connect with friends, join groups, send messages, share interests, post photos and compose notes. A news feed is also available for all facebook members that are interested. There are over 10 million registered users now on facebook, making it easier for people to find their friends from the wide variety of members.

Facebook gives people total control over what information they want to share and with whom they want to share.Using Facebook's privacy settings, people can limit the information that is made visible to someone or block that person from seeing them completely. The ability to control their information means people can stay around their friends in a trusted environment.Facebook helps to develop network with your classes, maintain contact with your old friends, re-unite with old classmates in your high school
