Creating links to other web ages using the wiki is really easy. First, I'd like to go over creating links to external pages, meaning pages that are not part of writingwiki.org, like espn.com or usatoday.com.

Let's say you are reponding to a writing topic and you would like to provide a link to a story you read on CNN's web site. You can accomplish this by first copying the link from the address bar.

Then, go back to the wiki page where you would like to add the link, and click edit. Find the word or words in your text that you would like to make "hot." Surround the word or words with quotation marks, add a colon at the end and paste the link. It should look like this:

After you hit Save, your text should now look like this:

As I began my intitial research into the topic, I found this story from CNN very interesting.
