Pretty Your Wiki
.
SummaryThis page will help you pretty up your wiki through formatting, pictures, and video. To edit your page, click edit, and then do your typing and pasting of links in the edit window. Be sure to save every once in a while, and only one person can work on a particular page at a time in this wiki. Anything written in quotation marks is to show you what to type on the Edit page, so do not include the quotation marks unless instructed to. Please add to this!

Basic Text Formatting

Headings - You can create different size headings by putting exclamation points in front of your titles. The fewer exclamation points, the bigger the title. For example, "!!Big Title" looks like this (do not put the quotation marks, they are just so you can see the edit type).

Big Title

But then "!!!!Big Title" looks like this

Big Title

The more exclamations, the smaller it gets. For a title that separates sections with lines, type "!Title", which looks like this

Title

Page Breaks, or Lines - To break up a page with lines, type four dashes "----", which looks like this

Formatting Words

Bold - You can make words or phrases bold by putting three "tics" or apostraphes around them, like this - "this will be bold" (you cannot see the tics here, so hit the Edit button to see the formatting)

Italics - Italic words are similar to bold, you put two tics or apostraphes around the word or phrase, which looks like this (again, you cannot see the tics here, hit the Edit button to see)

Underlining - To underline words or phrases, surround them by plus signs which looks like this: underline me please (to see formatting, hit Edit button)

Lists

To make bulleted lists, press tab and put a star next to your title or words "*Heading", which looks like this:

  • Heading

For sublists under your original list, press tab twice, and then put a number 1 and period before your phrase "1.my sub point", which looks like this:

  • Heading
    1. my sub point
    2. you can have several of these by doing the same exact thing, putting a number 1 in front
      1. you can have more sublists by doing more tabs and putting a number 1 in front of each point
