This website is a result of a research project done in a Composition 1 class at the University of South Florida. The object of our research was the uses, benefits, and dangers of public writing online (i.e. social networking through Facebook, MySpace, blogging, etc.). The first part of the project was to write a 1,000 word paper on our research. The second part of the project was to create this website with the purpose of informing the general public about our research on public writing on the internet.
Using the navigation bar at the top of the page, you will read about the uses, benefits, dangers, and types of public writing on the internet. There is also a links page for articles on the different issues of public writing for your benefit.
It is our hope that through our work we can open the eyes of the public on the wonderful, yet dangerous and harmful world of public writing.
We will be showing the benefits of online public writing such as: Myspace, Facebook, and blogging. We will provide examples of each and explain how they are benefitual to people.
